This page covers who can use each method, based on where your Sorbet account is based, and where the money is going. For how each method works, see Supported Currencies & Payment Methods. For fees, see Fees & Limits.

Sending US dollars by SWIFT to a contractor in Pakistan will not work: Pakistan is one of the destinations SWIFT payments cannot be delivered to (see the SWIFT list below). Paying them in Pakistani rupees instead works — but rupee payouts can only be sent to an individual, not a company. If your contractor invoices you through a registered business, neither rupee option will work and you should contact support.

Two shared restriction lists

Most of the country limits on this page come from one of these two lists. Rather than repeating them on every row, the tables below reference them by name.

Standard Restricted List

Sorbet accounts based in these countries cannot use the methods that reference this list:

Wire transfer (US dollar, business accounts) is a special case: one version is open only to businesses based in the United Kingdom or United States, and a separate version serves businesses everywhere else outside the Standard Restricted List. You'll be routed to the right one during setup.

Sending money, restrictions by method

Restricted sender countries means a Sorbet account based there cannot use the method at all. Restricted recipient countries means the money cannot be delivered there, no matter where you are based.

Why US dollar SWIFT appears twice. These are two separate arrangements, not a duplicate. The standard version is closed to accounts based in Argentina and the United States, and cannot deliver to the blocked destinations above. The second version is open only to accounts based in Argentina, and carries no destination-country limits in our records.

Indian rupee payouts are not available to Sorbet accounts based in India, whichever method you use.

Category restrictions

Gambling businesses. Most methods on this page, including the main United States dollar, euro and pound sterling options, are closed to businesses in the gambling category. If that describes your business, contact support before relying on anything here.
