Now that your profile is up and running, let's dive into the other features Sorbet offers to support your freelancing journey:
The fastest and most cost-efficient way to send/receive money, no matter where you are.
Keep tabs on all your recent transactions, and stay in control of your incoming and outgoing cash flow with ease.
We will soon enable you to withdraw your hard earned money in your local currency or in USDC empowering you to choose your preferred currency for payments and payouts.
Our objective is to enable all to transact with their preferred methods of payment while keeping the benefits of instant, cost-efficient and secured transactions. We will work towards this in 3 key phases.
Phase 1: USDC to USDC (Q4 2024)
Both freelancers and clients will need to be comfortable using web3 technology, as transactions will happen entirely in USDC. The benefit is fast, secure, and low-cost global transactions with no currency conversion issues.
Phase 2: Fiat to USDC (Q4 2024)
Clients can pay using traditional currencies, which are then converted into USDC for freelancers. Clients wonβt need any web3 knowledge, but freelancers should still be familiar with USDC and digital wallets.
Phase 3: Fiat to Fiat (Q1 2025)
This phase offers full flexibility with payments happening entirely in fiat currencies, requiring no web3 knowledge for either freelancers or clients. All while still enjoying the security and ease Sorbet provides.
Fiat Currency: Money issued by governments, like the US dollar or the euro, that people use for everyday transactions. USDC (USD Coin): USDC is issued by Circle, a trusted, regulated financial company. It is a digital currency that is always equal to 1 US dollar. It combines the stability of regular money with the speed and ease of digital transactions, making it simple to send or receive money globally.
